We are hiring for the following positions:

  • CNC 5 axis Machinist

  • CNC Lathe Machinist

CNC 5 axis Machinist

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will use Mastercam and 5 axis CNC milling machine tools to perform production, primarily short run parts, and occasionally prototypes or fixtures. You will prepare tooling and fixturing according to documentation. Knowledge of shop mathematics, principles of mechanics and trigonometry are necessary. This job will require you to perform general maintenance and housekeeping of workplace, tools and equipment.

Requirements: May perform more detailed tasks requiring deeper knowledge and experience in the specified processes and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals . Be able to effectively communicate with other functional departments. Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Be a self-starter and demonstrate good decision making ability.

As a member of the milling team you will participate in the design and development of product and fixtures, contribute to the selection of tools and equipment, write and debug programs, interact with production management and help to refine and improve documentation and procedures.

You must have at least 5 years experience

CNC Lathe Machinist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, load and operate CNC lathes to shape complex, small-run parts, high variety, difficult materials

Interpret technical drawings and other work instructions

Take measurements of parts at setup and completion to determine correctness using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial calipers, depth gages, indicators and scales·

Clean and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on machines, tooling and parts

Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control employees and other personnel for assignments, and to resolve machining or quality issues

Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability

Transact against jobs to ensure that correct and timely information is recorded

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience as a lathe setup/operator machinist
  • Strong mathematical, writing and communications skills
