Forming & Laser Cutting Services

Forming - Glemco

Metal forming is a subset of fabrication, and it involves the reshaping of metals while they are in their solid state. Through mechanical deformation, using equipment like the CNC Press Brake and the Hydraulic Press, the workpiece is reshaped without adding or removing material.

Laser cutting can offer high accuracy, high repeatability, speed, and if done correctly only a very small burr.

36-Ton 6 Axis CNC Press Brake

Brake Press forming is one of the oldest mechanical deformation processes in which a piece of sheet metal is formed along a straight axis. It forms predetermined bends by clamping the workpiece between a matching punch and die. Press brakes can be used for many different forming jobs with the right die design. Our hydraulic brake produces accurate high-quality product and includes multi-axes computer-controlled back gauges. Optical sensors allow operators to make adjustments during the bend process and send real time data about the bending angle in the bend cycle to machine controls that adjust process parameters.

Hydraulic Press

This press represents a specific type of machine tool, delivering energy through a force that acts over a distance or stroke. Press machines are the primary machine tool used in metal extrusion and sheet metal fabrication processes.

Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to vaporize materials, resulting in a cut edge. Laser cutting has numerous advantages over mechanical cutting, being less labor intensive and more cost effective. It is also safer, since it is a no contact process. A commercial laser for cutting materials uses a CNC system to follow a pattern to be cut from the material.
